None of these questions are hard on their own, but working them out by hand, for every project, is where a sewing plan turns into guesswork.

Instead of long articles you have to read end to end, the site is built around a set of small, single-purpose calculators, each aimed at one part of planning a sewing project. Every result the tools produce — a yardage figure, a cut dimension, a bias tape length, a trim quantity, a scale percentage, a thread estimate — is a general estimate built on standard sewing conventions and the numbers you enter, not a guarantee for your specific fabric, pattern, or machine. For anything that matters to a project you can’t easily redo — an expensive fabric, a pattern you can’t recut, a large batch of matching garments — buy a little extra and verify against your own materials before committing.
